Introduction to Painting/Painter's Workshop

ClassGraphic Learn how to paint from a professional artist. You'll have a fantastic experience as you learn how to express yourself! Students in this course will learn the techniques used to make beautiful works of art. Beginners are encouraged to attend this class as Acrylic paint is friendly, forgiving and works well on a variety of surface. Experienced and continuing students are welcomed to join this class as a workshop experience where our instructor will guide your growth as a painter. These students may choose to work with oil if it is their preference.  

Art Supply List
Available at Art Stores: Art Supply Warehouse in Westminster, Piecemakers Country Store in Costa Mesa, Lyon Art Supplies in Long Beach, and any Michael's
Acrylic Painting Class:
I. Fredrix Canvas Panels: 11”x14”, or 12”x16”, or 16”x20.”
Optional: Fredrix Canvas pads, or Strathmore Bristol paper
II. Brushes: Synthetic or Bristle Acrylic brushes
Flat Size: 10, 12, 20
Round Size: 2, 6, 10
III.Liquitex (Heavy duty) or Basics Liquitex paint: Titanium white, Cadmium medium yellow,
Magenta (medium), Cyan blue, Emerald green, and any black.
Optional colors: Cadmium medium red, Cobalt or Ultramarine blue and Phtalo green. Also a bottle of
gesso and primer.
IV. Medium size plastic, wood, or tin Palette
V. Artist Tape
